It has been confirmed that 2010 will see the second series of the Inbetweeners. But it has now been confirmed that the show which follows 4 teeange boys trying to get laid will be remade for an American version. The show was a hidden gem that is currently being shown on Channel 4.
The show is brilliant in my opinion and has 4 brilliant main characters and is brilliantly written by Iain Morris and Damian Beesley. But i am really hope that it is not ruined by an American remake. It is the first show from E4 that has made it over the pond , but dvd sales and word of mouth has caused America to take a chance.
We now must wait to see if America manages to ruin another unrated British comedy after the quite frankly awful remake of spaced.
The inbetweeners series 2 is out next year and series 1 is on dvd now.
